Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture in Macon, GA seeks an experienced Operations Manager to serve as the primary onsite leader for the shift, driving strategic decisions and daily execution. You will lead department managers, assist with staffing, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while maintaining a positive, growth‑oriented culture.

This role requires strong problem solving, cross-functional collaboration across supply chain, store operations, and HR, with a focus on meeting customer

Qualifications

• Multi-tasking in a fast paced warehouse environment.
• Must be a critical thinker who can analyze data and problem solve.
• Strong communication skills including written, verbal and listening.
• Proficient in using a warehouse management system (WMS) and MS Office tools.
• Must be able to stand and walk 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations and enforce warehouse policies and procedures.
• Lead cross functional teams to optimize staffing and workflow.
• Write performance reviews and support HR with employee coaching.
• Conduct frequent team meetings and keep staff informed on initiatives.
• Meet customer commitments by ensuring quality and accuracy of shipments.
• Manage departmental budget and understand shift P&L.
• Support safety standards and maintain clean, organized work areas.
