Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a DC Area Manager to lead a team of hourly staff, uphold safety and quality standards, and drive performance across the distribution center in the Illinois area. You will mentor associates, manage performance reviews, and coordinate cross-functional plans to meet service and cost objectives.

The role emphasizes people leadership, data-driven decision making, and delivering against KPIs such as UPH, on-time shipping, and cost control, within a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Experience leading a team of hourly staff and managing performance.
• Proficiency with WMS (SAP) and Microsoft Office; strong data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a frontline workforce to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Drive continuous improvement and headcount planning to meet business objectives.
• Complete employee reviews and develop frontline leaders for bench strength.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize operations and KPIs (UPH, on-time shipping, fill rate).
