Job summary

W. W. Grainger, Inc. is seeking a seasoned operations leader to oversee outbound picking and packing in a high-volume distribution center in Kentucky. The role includes managing up to four salaried supervisors and guiding a large hourly workforce to ensure on-time fulfillment and cost-efficient operations.

You will use production, safety, quality, and financial data to identify process improvements, drive Lean initiatives, and collaborate on center-wide projects to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• 3+ years progressively responsible management experience in a high volume, multi‑shift operation dealing with large employee populations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Outbound (picking and packing) operations team in a high volume, multi-shift distribution center.
• Manage up to 4 salaried supervisors and provide indirect leadership to up to 100 non-exempt employees.
• Ensure accurate product receipt, order fulfillment, and optimization of resources and processes to meet cost and efficiency goals.
• Identify process improvements and promote employee programs to engage and empower staff.
