Job summary

Grainger, located in Louisville, KY, seeks a Distribution Center Manager to lead outbound operations in a high-volume facility. You will supervise up to 4 salaried supervisors and guide a large non-exempt team to ensure accurate receipt, picking, packing, and on-time order fulfillment.

The role emphasizes Lean, DMAIC, and Six Sigma to improve processes and costs while fostering employee engagement and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• 3+ years progressively responsible management experience in a high volume, multi-shift operation dealing with large employee populations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound (picking and packing) operations in a high-volume, multi-shift distribution center.
• Manage up to 4 salaried supervisors and provide indirect leadership to up to 100 non-exempt employees.
• Ensure accurate product receipt, order fulfillment, and optimization of resources and processes.
• Promote compliance with procedures and drive process improvements to meet cost and service goals.
• Develop employee engagement and recognition programs and ensure fair treatment and tools for success.
• Lead continuous improvement using LEAN, DMAIC, and Six Sigma tools.
