Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily logistics operations within our Supply Chain Solutions division.

The role reports to the Manager and includes coaching and staff development, with a focus on meeting business objectives. This exempt salary position offers a starting pay of $65,000 per year, a 4/6 schedule (Wed–Fri 4:30am–4:30pm and Sat 6am–6pm), and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) with match, paid holidays,

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• 1+ year experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution preferred.
• 0–1 year direct supervisory/leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee day-to-day logistics operations.
• Plan and review all logistics processes with the Logistics Manager to meet standards.
• Establish work schedules and coordinate activities for optimal shift logistics.
• Accountable for site KPI and objective progress.
• Collaborate with customers in all aspects of operations.
• Regularly meet with team members to monitor progress, coach and recognize performance.
• Promote Diversity and Inclusion and optimize internal processes.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend merit increases.
• Address performance issues through corrective action and disciplinary steps.
• Maintain positive labor relations and understand the labor agreement.
• Implement health, safety, security initiatives and company policies.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees and Lead Hands.
