Job summary

Roadtex Transportation seeks an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day special services operations and oversee the VAS team resources, including Operations Leaders. The role acts as the integrator across cross-functional teams to drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement in pursuit of Operational Excellence.

Responsible for staffing and compliance for equipment and processes. Lead frontline leaders, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of warehouse services experience.
• 3+ years leading a team.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proven track record developing and implementing workflow processes.
• Ability to analyze data to identify opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build and promote a strong Safety and Quality culture.
• Participate in creation, approval and execution of the production plan.
• Ensure consistency of operations across shifts on the production floor.
• Provide site inspections and leadership support to the area.
• Own change and continuous improvement processes for the operation.
• Set objectives for teams and production goals.
• Develop plans for Operations staff and Leaders.
• Coordinate communications within team and with external groups.
• Ensure materials, equipment and PMI schedules are available.
• Keep the department within budget and lean objectives.
