Job summary

nVent is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse activities, lead safety initiatives, and drive continuous improvement. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate across teams to meet safety and production goals.

The ideal candidate has several years of leadership experience in distribution and a solid command of Microsoft Office tools. This role emphasizes on-site supervision and active involvement on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• 3 years in distribution environment and 3 years in a leadership position.
• Proficient Microsoft Office suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily warehouse activities including planning, directing, and coordinating orders and distribution.
• Lead day-to-day activities on safety, planning, organizing, and execution with 50% floor time.
• Provide leadership to ensure safety, service levels, cost, and productivity.
• Assist quality manager with investigations and customer resolution.
• Drive data-driven quality improvements using Lean and RCA processes.
• Demonstrates knowledge of team roles and back up as needed.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and kaizen events.
• Promote a Zero Harm safety culture and lead Safety Committee.
• Be highly visible and promote hands-on problem solving.
