Job summary

nVent is seeking a qualified Lead, Assembly Operations to supervise daily manufacturing activities in an industrial environment. You will ensure safety, quality, and productivity while driving Lean initiatives and continuous improvement across the floor.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to coach employees at all levels. Experience with EHS policies and MS Office is essential for daily reporting and coordination.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily assembly operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals are achieved.
• Promote a strong safety culture through active floor presence, employee coaching, and consistent enforcement of EHS policies and procedures.
• Conduct safety observations, workplace inspections, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and EHS reporting requirements.
• Coordinate employee training, onboarding, and cross-training to ensure safe work practices and adherence to standardized procedures.
• Monitor production performance and material flow, using visual management tools to communicate expectations and results.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean manufacturing, Kaizen activities, and employee involvement in problem-solving efforts.
• Support compliance with company policies and applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations while fostering accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
