Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking an Operations Team Lead in a 100% on-site role in Minnesota. The position provides day-to-day coordination for a shift and frontline staff, ensuring SOPs, safety, and KPIs are met.

You will translate pre-set plans into actionable labor and equipment assignments and assist in issue resolution on the floor. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in logistics or warehouse operations, strong English communication, and the ability to train and mentor team members.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in warehouse/logistics operations, lead/coordinator experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Physical ability for long standing shifts and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule ocean and domestic shipments.
• Direct daily work activities for team members per plans.
• Assist supervisor with workload assignments and volume management.
• Perform basic system inquiries to resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate handling of urgent orders within guidelines.
• Support drivers with loading/unloading per safety procedures.
• Identify damaged freight and report issues promptly.
• Audit outgoing shipments and monitor safety/compliance.
