Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day multimodal transportation and logistics activities in Bloomington, CA. You will direct frontline teams, ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years in warehouse/distribution oversight, forklift certification, and strong knowledge of WMS/TMS/ERP systems. It offers a 12 PM–10 PM schedule and on-site work at our Bloomington facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree (or higher) preferred.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure required.
• 3+ years in warehouse, distribution, or supply chain operations with supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to lead frontline teams in fast-paced environments.
• English communication skills are essential.
• Experience with WMS, TMS, ERP, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities across logistics workflows.
• Coordinate and prioritize team assignments to meet targets.
• Ensure safe handling and timely dispatch of inventory and freight.
• Monitor workflow, resources, and equipment usage for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory policies.
• Lead safety observations and support safety initiatives.
• Adhere to SOPs, work instructions, and change control processes.
• Support audits related to quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Lead problem-solving for service issues and delays.
• Participate in Lean/Six Sigma or Kaizen continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and service performance.
• Respond promptly to operational issues to minimize disruption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (transportation, planning, customer service, engineering, quality).
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management.
