Job summary

Forward Air Corp. in Austin, TX is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day multimodal logistics activities, supervising frontline teams, and ensuring safe, efficient execution of core service processes.

You will drive productivity, monitor SOPs, and coordinate with cross-functional groups to uphold safety, quality, and customer service. This on-site role requires strong communication and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree in SCM/Logistics/Business preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: Forklift certification or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• Experience: 3+ years in warehouse, distribution, transportation, or supply chain operations with supervisory duties.
• English communication skills required (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of WMS/TMS/ERP and Lean/Six Sigma or Kaizen advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities across logistics workflows.
• Coordinate and prioritize work to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and dispatch of inventory and freight.
• Monitor resources, labor, and equipment usage for efficient execution.
• Enforce SOPs, work instructions, and change control processes.
• Support audits, safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
