Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily logistics activities across multimodal transportation and contract logistics. You will drive productivity, ensure safety and quality, and manage frontline teams to meet service targets.

The role focuses on problem-solving, process optimization, and continuous improvement, maintaining alignment with customer commitments and safety standards. On-site responsibilities dominate this 100% on-site posting.

Qualifications

• Supervises frontline teams in fast-paced logistics environments.
• Knowledge of WMS, TMS, ERP and reporting tools.
• Communicates effectively in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen or similar methods.
• Forklift certification and safe operating practices are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities across multimodal transport and logistics.
• Coordinate and prioritize work to meet safety, quality and productivity targets.
• Ensure safe handling and timely dispatch of inventory and shipments.
• Monitor workflow, labor and equipment use to optimize performance.
• Support audits and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
