Forward Air Corporation seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day multimodal logistics, ensuring safe, efficient execution and strong customer service. You will coach frontline staff, monitor productivity, and drive continuous improvement across shifts and on-site operations.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, adherence to SOPs, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet service commitments and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse/logistics with supervisory responsibilities.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience with WMS/TMS/ERP and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities across logistics workflows.
• Coordinate and prioritize work to meet service, safety, and productivity targets.
• Ensure safe handling and on-time dispatch of inventory, freight, and equipment.
• Monitor resource utilization, labor allocation, and equipment usage.
• Support audits and compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards (OSHA/DOT).
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen).
• Provide coaching and development for frontline associates and foster a positive team culture.
