Job summary

Kenco Group in New York state is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach warehouse associates, oversee daily tasks, and back up the supervisor. The role covers shipping/receiving, inventory control, and material handling operations as needed.

You will train new hires, enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the department. This position is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience.
• 6 months leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct observations (PIT, safety, performance, maintenance).
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products for distribution.
• Complete shipping/tracking paperwork per SOPs and regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
• Participate in inventory/cycle counts and report variances to leadership.
• Perform daily safety inspections on forklift trucks.
• Ensure facility is inspection ready for SQFI, FDA, and customers.
• Communicate and report incidents to supervisor.
• Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
• Review and analyze daily production reports.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles.
