Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse associates across shifts, ensuring daily tasks align with safety and quality standards.

You will back up the supervisor, oversee shipping/receiving, inventory control, and material handling, and lead by example to drive performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement in the distribution center. The role requires a forklift license, background check, and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers; conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products/materials for distribution.
• Complete paperwork per SOPs and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, IATA, IMDG).
• Participate in inventory/cycle counts and report variances.
• Perform daily safety inspections on forklift trucks.
• Ensure facility is inspection-ready for SQFI, FDA, and customers.
• Communicate and report incidents to supervisor.
• Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
• Review and analyze daily production reports.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles; other duties as needed.
