Job summary

Kenco is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and guide warehouse associates, supervise daily tasks, and provide backup to the supervisor. The role covers training, safety, and process improvements on the floor.

Responsibilities include training forklift drivers, conducting PIT certifications, performing inspections, handling paperwork, and ensuring accurate inventory and compliance with SQFI/FDA expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months experience related leadership or supervisory experience and/or training in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct observations (EIP, performance, maintenance).
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products for distribution.
• Complete applicable paperwork per SOPs and regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
• Participate in inventory/cycle counts and report variances.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure SQFI, FDA, and customer needs are met.
• Communicate and report incidents to supervisor and ensure product rotation.
• Review and analyze daily production reports.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed.
