Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse associates, including forklift drivers, while also supporting the supervisor and ensuring safe, efficient operations. This role covers shipping/receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse tasks across departments.

The Lead will conduct PIT training, oversee inspections, and ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met. Prior leadership experience in a distribution setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years in warehouse/distribution operations and 6 months leadership or supervisory experience.
• Must be licensed forklift operator or able to obtain license.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers; conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct performance and maintenance observations.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products for distribution.
• Complete paperwork (shipping/tracking labels) per SOP and regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
• Participate in inventory/cycle counts and report variances.
• Perform daily forklift inspections.
• Ensure facility is inspection-ready for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
• Communicate and report incidents to supervisor.
• Ensure proper product rotation procedures.
• Review daily production reports.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed.
