Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage is hiring a Warehouse Lead to supervise loading, unloading, stacking, sorting, and case picking in a warehouse. The role requires operating all material handling equipment and guiding a team of Warehouse Operators.

The position includes training new hires, answering technical questions, and collaborating with Supervisors to improve efficiency and safety. Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Experience operating all Arcadia MHE equipment.
• Basic reading, legible writing and arithmetic skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently or as a team.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shifts, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks (power jack and forklift) to maneuver through the warehouse.
• Select and load products from warehouse storage onto pallets or trays following a work or pick order to prepare product loads for shipping to customer locations.
• Provide visual and check with Wave Planner to ensure put-away, shipping, receiving accuracy.
• Work with Wave Planner and Management to ensure proper efficiency to operations KPI’s (turn times, damage, accuracy).
• Verify inventory and visually inspect product for quality assurance, including packaging integrity.
• Document and report damages to supervisor or manager.
• Receive work assignments from control room and follow computerized work orders.
• Oversees activities of Warehouse Operators.
• Perform daily and pre-trip safety checks on all equipment.
• Identify pick type according to the work order to plan.
• Provide training to new hires.
• Maintain clean work environment and cross-train operators.
