Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead in Kansas City, MO, to coach and supervise warehouse teammates, run daily operations, and ensure safety and accuracy in shipping, receiving, packing, and inventory control.

You will train new hires, oversee PIT operations, conduct inspections, and back up supervisors. The role emphasizes teamwork, compliance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months experience related leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution.
• Complete applicable paperwork per SOPs and regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
• Participate in inventory/cycle count activities and report variances to leadership.
• Perform daily safety inspections on forklift trucks and keep the facility inspection-ready for SQFI/FDA and customers.
• Communicate and report any incidents to supervisor.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles and support other departments as needed.
