Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Warehouse Generalist at the Lomar Distribution Center to efficiently select and palletize merchandise for shipment to stores. The role uses voice-activated and pick-to-light systems and requires careful handling to prevent damage.

You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a focus on accuracy and safety. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to operate material handling equipment after certification, and basic arithmetic.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet language and hearing capabilities for voice automated selection.
• Ability to follow one or two-step instructions; routine, repetitive task.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Upon certification, operate single and double pallet jacks, forklift and stock picker.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines.
• Selects orders accurately via voice automated and pick-to-light systems and palletizes merchandise for shipment.
• Verifies pallet stability and applies shrink wrap.
• Completes pallet IDs and stages orders for delivery.
• Performs daily safety inspections of power equipment and uses safety gear properly.
• Keeps the work area clean and organized.
• Attends departmental and company meetings.
