Job summary

Hy-Vee’s Lomar Distribution Center in Wisconsin is seeking a Warehouse Generalist, Heavy Lifting. You will select and palletize items for shipment using voice automated and pick-to-light systems, ensuring accuracy and pallet stability.

This non-exempt, on-site role requires a high school diploma, ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts after certification, and strict adherence to safety rules in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet language and hearing capabilities for voice automated selection.
• Ability to follow one- or two-step instructions; routine, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic and operate pallet jacks/forklift/stock picker after certification.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on schedule and on time.
• Selects orders via voice automated system and palletizes for shipment.
• Uses pick-to-light system as needed and ensures pallet stability.
• Applies pallet IDs and stages orders for delivery.
• Performs daily safety inspections of power equipment and follows safety policies.
• Keeps work area clean and neat and participates in meetings.
