Hy-Vee’s Lomar Distribution Center seeks a Warehouse Generalist, Heavy Lifting to handle order picking and palletizing for store shipments. The role uses voice-automated selection and pick-to-light systems, with emphasis on accurate, safe stacking and timely processing.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be able to operate pallet jacks and forklifts after certification, and maintain safety and clean work areas in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet language and hearing capabilities for voice automated selection.
• Follow one- or two-step instructions; routine tasks.
• Host training and operate pallet jack/forklift upon certification.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on schedule and on time.
• Select orders via voice automated system and palletize for shipment to stores.
• Select orders via pick-to-light system as needed.
• Verify pallet stability and apply shrink-wrap for shipping.
• Apply pallet ID and stage orders for loading.
• Perform daily safety inspection of power equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and attend department meetings.
