Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Warehouse Generalist, Heavy Lifting at the Lomar Distribution Center to join our store-support team. You will select and palletize merchandise for shipment to retail locations using voice automated selection and pick-to-light systems as needed.

You will also verify pallet stability, apply pallet IDs, and stage orders for delivery to stores. Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, can operate pallet jacks and forklifts after certification, and perform

• Must be able to operate pallet jacks, forklift, and stock picker after certification.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on schedule and on time.
• Selects and palletizes merchandise for shipment using voice automated selection.
• Prepares orders with pick-to-light system when needed.
• Verifies pallet stability and applies pallet ID for delivery.
• Maintains safe operation of equipment and keeps area clean.
• Attends departmental and company meetings.
• Breaks down master cases and stages product.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
