Job summary

Hy-Vee's Lomar Distribution Center in Iowa is seeking a Warehouse Generalist, Heavy Lifting, to accurately select orders using voice automation and light systems as needed. You will palletize merchandise for shipment to retail locations and ensure pallet stability.

You will perform daily safety checks on equipment, keep your area clean, and participate in meetings. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate material-handling equipment after certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must understand one- or two-step instructions; perform routine tasks.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers.
• Certification to operate pallet jacks, forklift, and stock picker required.

Responsibilities

• Select orders using voice automated system and palletize for shipment.
• Verify pallet stability and shrink-wrap for transport to stores.
• Apply pallet ID and stage orders for loading.
• Perform daily safety inspections of powered equipment.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area; attend department meetings.
• Break down master cases and stage product as needed.
