Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy new automation technologies across multiple warehouse environments.

You will work with operations, IT, and product teams to demonstrate value, select optimal solutions, and drive project execution from concept to deployment. The role requires collaboration across regions and functions, strong data analytics, ROI reasoning, and hands-on leadership to deliver measurable efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, industrial engineering, or warehouse systems integration.
• Experience with automation technologies and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and validation on new business sales projects by identifying potential automation technologies.
• Build ROI and justification based on multiple criteria to select the optimal solution design.
• Support automation project lead on identifying gaps in vendor FSD/SOW.
• Provide input on automation solution designs for implementation and performance.
