Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy automation technologies. You will work across operations, design, IT, and vendors to evaluate, validate, and implement solutions that differentiate Ryder in the market.

The role requires strong project management, data analytics, and the ability to lead pilots from concept to implementation, with close collaboration across regions and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong ability to analyze data and justify automation investments.
• Experience with warehouse automation and material handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation ROI workups and validate solution selections for new business.
• Support design validation and vendor FSD/SOW gap analysis.
• Contribute to SAT testing plans and post-go-live support.
• Coordinate with operations, IT, and vendors for pilot deployments.
• Track project milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and manage escalation events.
