Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, deploy and optimise automation technologies across warehouses. You will work with operations, design, IT and vendors to demonstrate value and feasibility, helping win new business.

The role involves leading ROI analyses, coordinating SOW checks, and guiding design and procurement activities to ensure scalable, high-performance automation deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation and related fields.
• 2+ years in warehouse automation experience.
• Experience with goods-to-person, ASRS and related technologies.
• Knowledge of design tools and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and ROI justification for new business projects.
• Support design validation to ensure key factors are considered for implementation.
• Coordinate procurement and vendor evaluations for automation.
• Manage smaller implementation projects and track milestones.
• Support SAT testing and punch list tracking post go-live.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy warehouse automation.
