Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy new automation technologies across multiple business types.

You will work with operations, IT, product teams, and stakeholders to demonstrate value and feasibility, driving efficiency and competitive differentiation. The role involves project management of smaller projects, data analytics for system optimization, and collaboration with vendors on SAT and post-go-live support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, or related fields.
• Experience in warehouse automation is preferred; familiarity with multiple automation technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support automation selection and validation for new business opportunities.
• Validate vendor FSD/SOW using standard checklists.
• Provide input on automation designs for operational performance and cost efficiency.
• Assist in procurement, vendor reviews, and RFQ processes.
• Manage smaller implementation projects and track milestones.
