Job summary
Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy automation technologies across multiple facilities.
The role collaborates with operations, IT, and solution design to validate concepts, build business cases, and ensure successful deployments that improve efficiency. The position requires strong project management, data analytics, and vendor coordination, with travel up to 30-40%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field (Preferred).
- 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, industrial engineering or warehouse systems integration (Preferred).
- 2+ years in warehouse automation (Preferred).
- Experience with multiple automation technologies and lifecycle from pilot to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Lead automation selection and validation on new business sale projects.
- Support design validation and review options for implementation and performance.
- Coordinate procurement activities and vendor evaluations.
- Manage smaller projects and track milestones and punch lists.
- Support SAT and post-go-live hypercare and onsite testing.
