Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to drive identification, piloting, and deployment of automation technologies in our warehouse network.

You will collaborate with operations, IT, and solution design to evaluate and implement innovative capabilities that deliver measurable efficiency gains. The successful candidate will support RFPs, validate vendor solutions, and manage small deployment projects while guiding data-driven optimization across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation or related field is desirable.
• Experience across automation technologies and materials handling is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and validation for new business opportunities.
• Support contract validation and scope of work reviews with vendors.
• Provide design input ensuring operational performance and cost effectiveness.
• Assist procurement, vendor reviews and quotation requests.
• Manage small projects and track milestones to implementation.
• Coordinate SAT testing and post-go-live support activities.
• Analyze data to optimize warehouse automation performance.
