Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an experienced Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy new automation technologies for warehouses. You will work with operations, IT, solution design, and stakeholders to demonstrate value and feasibility of capabilities across regions and business units.

The role requires coordinating with customers, leaders, and suppliers to evaluate pilots, develop solutions, and drive improvements that differentiate Ryder in the market. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation or related field.
• Experience with warehouse automation technologies and integration.
• Knowledge of WMS/WES and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and ROI justification for new bids.
• Validate vendor SOW and FSD via checklists.
• Advise designs for implementation and operational performance.
• Assist in procurement and vendor reviews.
• Manage small projects and track milestones.
• Coordinate on-site support and SAT testing.
• Analyze data to optimize systems and processes.
• Support SAT testing plan and punch list tracking.
• Define strategy and measure success.
• Assist with budget tracking.
• Troubleshoot priority issues with vendors.
