Job summary
Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy automation technologies across warehousing operations.
You will work with operations, IT, and product teams to evaluate, pilot, and implement solutions that deliver measurable efficiency gains. The role requires collaboration across regions and functions, strong data analytics, and project management skills, with (30-40)% travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in warehouse automation or related industries; experience with automation technologies preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, data analytics and Lean methods.
Responsibilities
- Lead automation selection and validation on new business sale projects.
- Develop ROI and justification to select optimal solution design.
- Support automation project leads on vendor/fid checks and SOW validity.
- Contribute to design validation and ensure performance criteria are met.
- Assist in procurement, vendor reviews, and price/quote requests.
- Manage smaller projects and track milestones for implementation.
- Coordinate on-site support and SAT testing plans.
- Perform data analysis to support system optimization.
