Job summary

BEUMER Group is seeking a Solutions Manager for the North America region to lead end-to-end controls, electrical, and software scope within logistics systems. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, support specifications, estimations, and proposal development, and guide deployment from handover to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Robotics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Masters preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in controls, software and electrical scope for warehouse automation, conveying and sorting solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics technologies and systems, including PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens) WCS, TMS, RFID, barcode scanning, EDI, and IoT devices.
• Strong understanding of logistics processes, supply chain management principles, and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Project management experience and ability to lead initiatives from inception to completion.
• Relevant certifications such as IEEE affiliations are preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access) and CAD/Visio familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Understand and capture functional requirements for end-to-end convey and sortation solutions.
• Assist in developing and mapping functionalities to customer requirements and specs.
• Evaluate technologies, software, controls and electrical solutions for suitability, scalability and cost.
• Design solutions after analyzing data, requirements, objectives and available technologies.
• Analyze logistics workflows to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation.
• Calculate throughput and system performance and compare with customer goals.
• Develop documentation, user manuals, and training materials; provide training as needed.
• Support engineering with software and controls specifications and operations descriptions.
• Generate estimates and cost calculations for electrical, controls and software scope.
• Coordinate with LS Sales Managers and Marketing to promote solutions to clients.
• Assist handover from sales to operations clarifying technical scope per contracts.
• Advise execution teams during commissioning ensuring scope is implemented per spec.
• Prepare/customer presentations, meetings, workshops documenting controls and software functionalities.
