Job summary

BEUMER Group is a leading intralogistics provider delivering material handling systems for airports, e-commerce, warehousing and distribution. The Mechanical Project Engineer role reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and collaborates with Sales, Project Management, Purchasing and installation teams to drive projects from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6–10 years hands-on manufacturing and project engineering experience.
• Broad background in machine technologies (control, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design.
• Ability to specify mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Strong drafting, tolerancing and manufacturing process knowledge.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sales with equipment proposals using engineering analysis and design.
• Assist Project Managers with system commissioning and field support.
• Plan execution of component design and selection to meet project requirements.
• Evaluate feasibility, estimate costs, and assess maintenance needs of material handling systems.
• Design system layouts and components in 2D/3D CAD; optimize for cost and manufacturability.
• Write specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate production and select manufacturing methods, assist procurement with parts.
• Lead multi-disciplinary coordination across engineering, purchasing and site integration.
• Lead prototype testing and develop technical solutions.
