Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineering professional to identify, pilot, deploy and optimize automation technologies across multiple facilities.

You will work with operations, IT, product teams and external partners to demonstrate value and feasibility, driving competitive differentiation and business growth. Responsibilities include leading automation selection, ROI analysis, design validation, vendor coordination, and on-site implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation or related field (preferred).
• 2+ years in warehouse automation experience (preferred).
• Experience with sortation, autonomous vehicles, AS/RS (required).
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, data analytics, Lean methods.
• Familiarity with CAD, slotting, MOST, simulation, WMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation technology evaluation and ROI justification.
• Support automation project leads and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate on-site implementation and SAT testing.
• Track project milestones and post-go-live punch lists.
• Collaborate with operations, IT, and customers on deployments.
