Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy advanced automation technologies across multiple distribution centers.

You will collaborate with operations, IT, and solution design teams to drive efficiency, ROI, and scalable implementations. Responsibilities include leading automation RFP support, building ROI cases, validating designs, managing projects, and performing data analytics to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, industrial engineering or warehouse systems integration.
• Experience in warehouse automation is preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse management operations, data analytics, lean methods.
• Experience with automation tools such as sortation conveyors, autonomous vehicles/robots, AS/RS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead minor RFP projects and support lead engineer on major RFP projects by identifying potential automation technologies.
• Build ROI and justification to select optimal solution designs.
• Support automation project lead on vendor FSD/SOW validation.
• Provide input on automation solution designs to ensure performance and implementation feasibility.
• Manage project milestones for implementation and ensure effective on-site support.
