Kelly Services is seeking an Assembler to work at a premier manufacturing client in Devens, MA. The role offers a night shift with a 7pm–7am schedule and a B Shift pattern.

You will manually place parts on circuit boards, follow detailed instructions, and perform basic electronic assembly while maintaining 5S cleanliness. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and basic reading, math, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in assembly/manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to read simple instructions and follow visuals.
• Basic math skills and ability to compute rates/ratios.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness are important for 5S practices.

Responsibilities

• Manually placing parts on circuit boards according to workmanship standards.
• Follow verbal or written instructions and visual aids.
• Perform basic, repetitive electronic assembly operations and labeling.
• Prepare and assemble inserted components per specs.
• Visually inspect parts for proper insertion and placement.
• Use bar code scanners and small hand tools.
• Maintain progress reports and restock parts as required.
• Maintain 5S order and cleanliness in the area.
• Adhere to safety and health rules and report to supervisor.

Shift: Nights 7pm-7am

Schedule: B Shift: Wk1 Sun, Wed, Thurs / Wk2 Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat

D Shift: Wk1 Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat / Wk2 Sun, Wed, Thurs

What’s a typical day as Assembler? You’ll be:

• Manually placing parts on circuit boards in accordance with workmanship standards.
• Following detailed verbal or written instructions, including visual aids.
• Performing basic, standardized, and repetitive electronic assembly operations and labeling of components, assemblies, or subassemblies.
• Preparing and manually assembling inserted components per visual aids, upon verification of specs.
• Visually inspecting parts for proper insertion and placement.
• Utilizing bar code scanners and small hand tools.
• Ensuring assemblies and components are properly handled and marked.
• Accurately maintaining progress reports and monitoring/restocking parts bins as required.
• Maintaining 5S order and cleanliness in the assigned area.
• Adhering to all safety and health rules and regulations.
• Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor, Line Manager, or other management as assigned.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Possess experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Can read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Are comfortable following visual aids and detailed instructions.
• Have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and can compute rates and ratios.
• Are able to operate a personal computer and use Windows-based software.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining order and cleanliness.
