Job summary

Georgica Auto Holdings in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Service Advisor for VW to guide customers through vehicle repair and maintenance, delivering exceptional service and a positive experience.

You will greet customers, document issues, prepare repair orders, communicate repairs, obtain approvals, and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion. A valid driver's license and dealership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor, preferably within an automotive dealership.
• Experience with Volkswagen vehicles or German brands is a significant plus.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in using dealership management systems (DMS) and other software.
• Ability to estimate repair times and costs accurately.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously, providing a warm and professional welcome.
• Listen attentively to customer concerns and document vehicle issues and service requests.
• Perform thorough walk-arounds of vehicles with customers to identify additional service needs or recommendations.
• Prepare accurate and detailed repair orders, including estimated costs and completion times.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers regarding vehicle diagnosis, repair status, and pricing.
• Obtain customer approval for all recommended services and repairs.
• Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
• Monitor vehicle repair progress and provide regular updates to customers.
• Explain completed repairs and charges to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
• Process customer payments and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge regarding Volkswagen vehicles, services, and accessories.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Promote additional services, parts, and accessories as appropriate.
• Maintain a clean and organized service drive and office area.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
