Job summary

New Century Volkswagen in Glendale, CA seeks an experienced Service Advisor to join our team and deliver exceptional dealership service experiences.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, documenting concerns, communicating with technicians, preparing accurate labor and parts estimates, and guiding customers through repairs. The role emphasizes strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Automotive dealership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and establish rapport
• Obtain accurate customer and vehicle information and document concerns clearly
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately communicate vehicle symptoms to technicians
• Recommend maintenance and repairs based on vehicle age, mileage, manufacturer recommendations, and service history
• Prepare accurate estimates for labor, parts, and recommended services
• Establish clear expectations and follow-up times with customers
• Monitor the progress of vehicles throughout the service process and provide timely updates
• Communicate additional repair recommendations and obtain customer authorization when necessary
• Coordinate loaner vehicles and rental transportation when applicable
• Review repair orders to ensure completed work, labor, parts, and charges are accurate
• Explain completed repairs and charges clearly to customers at vehicle delivery
• Address customer questions and concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all service documentation is complete
• Take ownership of the customer experience and consistently look for opportunities to exceed expectations
