Job summary

JPMorgan Chase’s Social Media team seeks a VP-level YouTube Strategy Channel Lead to own the flagship Chase channel end-to-end, setting vision and driving growth across long-form, Shorts, and live formats. You will partner with creative, brand, product, PR, legal, and marketing to ensure compliant, high-performance content for search, discovery, and Shorts feeds.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning and growing a YouTube channel with measurable results.
• 7+ years managing professional social channels and editorial programming; Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Deep understanding of YouTube algorithms, search/discovery, SEO/geo strategy, analytics, and audience development; demonstrated ability to craft high-performing titles, descriptions, and thumbnails.
• Strong fluency in video workflows; able to edit or provide crisp, actionable creative feedback.
• Excellent writing and editorial judgment (clarity, accuracy, tone, and detail orientation).
• Proven ability to manage direct reports and influence senior stakeholders across high-visibility workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive YouTube channel strategy that drives growth in reach, engagement, watch time, and subscribers across SEO, discovery, and geo considerations.
• Own the programming roadmap across long-form, Shorts, and live; build an editorial operating model with content calendar and cadence.
• Lead optimization for SEO/AEO and in-feed discovery: titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and end screens based on intent and data.
• Run experiments to improve CTR, watch time, and retention; analyze performance and translate insights into programming decisions.
• Set and socialize KPIs; deliver regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Partner with creative teams to ensure on-brand content that complies with guidelines.
• Represent the YouTube strategy owner in cross-functional forums and pilots.
• Share platform learnings and playbooks across teams to drive consistency, speed, and scale.
• Build community through comment strategy and creator-style engagement.
• Serve as primary contact with YouTube product/editorial teams and stay ahead of platform changes.
• Manage content calendars and production workflows coordinating with marketing, SEO and PR.
