Job summary

Stout Risius Ross, LLC in Chicago seeks a full-time Vice President for our Transaction Advisory practice to lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for private equity and corporate clients, shaping investment decisions and negotiation strategies.

You will supervise analysts, manage multiple projects, identify risks, review financial statements, and communicate findings. Requires 5–6 years in audit/due diligence, CPA, and Big Four preferred, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related major.
• CPA is required or preferred for the role.
• Big Four experience preferred for this advisory position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise analysts and associates to ensure efficient project execution.
• Lead due diligence engagements and manage client communications.
• Identify risks and potential deal breakers during the due diligence process.
• Analyze income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and operating data.
• Synthesize findings into actionable observations and conclusions.
• Produce comprehensive due diligence reports for client communications.
• Lead due diligence calls and meetings with client and target company management.
• Review audit workpapers to understand accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide insights to purchase agreements and deal documents.
• Participate in business development and proposals.
• Contribute to hiring and training of analysts and associates.
