Job summary

Opensity Solutions seeks a Vice President of Technical Engineering to lead the technical engine of the business. This senior executive role spans engineering delivery, solution architecture, security, and datacenter strategy.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, you will mentor architects and managers, ensure delivery excellence, and align roadmaps with client needs. This hands-on leadership position drives standards and accountable outcomes across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive IT infrastructure, network engineering, or technical consulting experience, including 5+ years leading engineering teams.
• Ownership of a delivery portfolio in a professional services or managed services environment with accountability for technical outcomes and margin.
• Deep hands-on background in enterprise networking, infrastructure engineering, virtualization, and cloud/hybrid architecture.
• Proven pre-sales capability: scoping engagements, writing SOWs/estimates, presenting to executives.
• Experience leading security operations and vulnerability management.
• Ability to align diverse specialists to a single plan and drive consensus.
• Track record of building processes where little existed and ensuring adoption.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to converse with CIOs and engineers alike.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery accountability for the engineering portfolio, with schedule, quality, margin, and client outcomes.
• Lead pre-sales solution architecture, scoping, and design for opportunities; ensure BOMs and proposals are complete.
• Govern architecture standards across domains and arbitrate deviations in collaboration with architects.
• Directly lead the Security Architect function and optimize the security practice; align with leadership on priorities.
• Define and oversee datacenter strategy, occupancy, and expansion or exit plans.
• Build and develop the technical organization, including career paths, certifications, and staffing.
