Job summary

SunEnergy1 is seeking a Vice President – Business Development, Solar & BESS EPC to drive growth in utility-scale solar, standalone BESS, and solar-plus-storage EPC opportunities. You will originate, develop, negotiate, and close major EPC deals, building a multi-year pipeline with developers, utilities, and energy investors.

The role requires strategic leadership and senior-level relationship management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or related field.
10+ years of progressive business development, sales, commercial, or project development experience in renewable energy or EPC.
Experience closing utility-scale solar EPC and/or BESS projects.
Strong preference for utility-scale BESS and solar-plus-storage experience.
Demonstrated success originating and securing large-scale energy projects with significant contract values.
Established network with renewable energy developers, IPPs, utilities, and energy customers.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute SunEnergy1's business development strategy for utility-scale solar, standalone BESS, and solar-plus-storage EPC opportunities.
Own and grow a multi-year sales pipeline to support aggressive growth.
Identify opportunities with solar developers, IPPs, utilities, and energy funds.
Build senior-level relationships with decision-makers across the industry.
Lead customer engagement through development and procurement lifecycles.
Review RFPs/RFQs/ITBs to determine strategic fit and approach.
