Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. seeks a Vice President of Business Development to drive growth for our utility-scale solar EPC business.

This role blends strategy with hands-on execution, setting bid strategy and guiding pricing while engaging customers directly in contract discussions. You will own the commercial lifecycle from initial conversations through bid development, negotiation, and award, partnering with BD, Estimating, and Preconstruction to ensure constructible, financially sound deals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in solar/renewables business development with EPC contract negotiation experience
• Strong commercial acumen and redline capability
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively

Responsibilities

• Originate and develop customer relationships with IPPs, developers, utilities, and asset owners
• Lead bid strategy and pricing decisions with Estimating and Preconstruction
• Review and redline EPC contracts, negotiate terms with customers
• Navigate project lifecycle from qualification to NTP handoff
