Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a Vice President for our Private Markets to service clients for our Alternative Investment Solutions Group. They will partner with clients and colleagues to establish the workflow and client deadlines while supervising staff.

They will deliver reporting and day-to-day accounting and support for our clients. The role involves managing client relationships, coordinating annual audits with Big 4 firms, reviewing financial statements and tax work papers, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 8+ years of general ledger accounting or audit experience.
• 6+ years of leadership experience.
• IRFS/IFRS experience required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with Investran, Great Plains or Oracle Financials is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lower-level staff and manage client relationships daily.
• Review quarterly/annual financial work papers, schedules, accruals, and PCAP allocations.
• Review quarterly/annual financial statements and footnotes.
• Prepare annual tax work papers and capital calls/distributions.
• Review bank reconciliations and post journal entries.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax return with Big 4 firms.
• Ensure compliance with fund documents and limited partnership agreements.
• Manage internal workflow and meet client deadlines.
• Identify unusual or suspicious activity per corporate policy.
