Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a Vice President for Private Markets within the International Fund Services/Alternative Investment Solutions Group in Boston. The role partners with clients and colleagues to establish workflows, client deadlines, and supervises staff while delivering reporting and day-to-day accounting support for clients.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in general ledger or audit with leadership experience and real estate/hedge fund/private market accounting exposure, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with accounting.
• 8+ years of general ledger accounting or audit experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Previous Financial reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Real Estate, Hedge Fund, or Private Market accounting experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills.
• Experience with Investran, Great Plains and Oracle Financials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervising all lower level staff and AVP level personnel.
• Managing client relationships with client personnel and fund investors.
• Reviewing quarterly and annual financial work papers, schedules, accruals, and allocations.
• Reviewing financial statements and footnotes, including tax work papers.
• Overseeing capital calls and distributions and related notices.
• Reviewing bank reconciliations and post journal entries.
• Coordinating annual audit and tax return preparation with Big 4 firms.
• Maintaining relationships with investment professionals, auditors and banks.
