Job summary

State Street seeks a Vice President in Private Markets to lead fund accounting and administration services for our clients. You will supervise staff, manage client relationships, and oversee financial work-papers, statements, and capital activity with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

The role supports coordination with large audit firms and internal teams, ensuring compliance with fund documents and investor communications while driving process improvements and on-time deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Extensive ledger accounting or audit background (12+ years).
• Proven leadership experience (6+ years).
• Experience with financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lower level staff and manage client relationships.
• Review quarterly/annual financial work papers and statements.
• Coordinate tax work papers and capital calls/distributions.
• Ensure accurate bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Collaborate with Big 4 auditors on annual audits and tax returns.
• Maintain client communications and meet deadlines.
