Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, commercial operations, insurance, risk financing, or related executive roles.
• Proven success leading complex organizations, major capital sourcing strategies, high‑value negotiations, enterprise supplier or insurance‑market relationships, and cross‑functional initiatives in a large matrixed environment.
• Strong executive communication, commercial judgment, financial acumen, negotiation skills, customer orientation, and ability to influence senior stakeholders in ambiguous or high‑stakes situations.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Set the strategic vision, annual priorities, resource plans, and performance targets for Power Purchasing, Transmission growth‑related procurement, and Insurance.
• Purchasing & Supplier Strategy: Oversee sourcing, negotiations, award recommendations, and contract strategies for complex equipment, materials, works, and services.
• Insurance & Risk Financing: Provide executive oversight for Avangrid’s insurance strategy, risk financing, renewals, market submissions, coverage solutions, insurance procurement, and claims strategy.
• Operational Excellence & Governance: Champion continuous improvement, procurement innovation, digital enablement, and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Leadership & Team Development: Lead a high‑performing organization of senior leaders, procurement and insurance professionals, fostering accountability and collaboration.
