AVANGRID POWER, LLC is seeking a Director, Transmission/Interconnection to lead national interconnection strategies and transmission development across ISOs/RTOs. You will oversee negotiating agreements, managing contracts, and coordinating with generators, utilities, and regulators.

The role requires a decade of renewable energy experience, engineering background, and strong leadership to drive cross-functional collaboration and execution across the U.S. footprint.

Qualifications

• Negotiation of interconnection agreements considering project schedule and risk.
• Knowledge of ISO tariff procedures and generator interconnections.
• FERC, ISO, and market interconnection procedures familiarity.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Align interconnection and transmission strategies with development schedules.
• Develop strategies across all U.S. ISOs and RTOs for national plan.
• Represent strategy before ISOs/RTOs and regulatory stakeholders.
• Manage procedures for interconnections and related studies.
• Originating and coordinating new interconnection agreements and filings.
• Oversee existing interconnection contracts and compliance terms.
• Support executive activities, including financing readiness and FERC filings.
• Manage relationships with transmission owners and ISO/RTOS.
• Lead a team of interconnection analysts and provide coaching.
• Set priorities and direct day-to-day work across regions.
