Job summary

RES seeks a VP, Transmission & Distribution to own the P&L for the T&D unit and drive profitable growth across the U.S. This executive leads day‑to‑day project activities, sets long‑term strategy for Transmission, Substation/Switchyard and HV construction, and ensures safe, on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Regular travel to client sites and headquarters is required. The role requires building strong client relationships, guiding Pre-Construction, Estimating and Project Directors, and aligning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction is required.
• Master’s degree in business is preferred.
• 10+ years of industry-related experience in operationally complex organizations is required.
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing construction projects and teams is required.
• 5+ years of client-facing or business development experience in T&D or energy infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns full P&L accountability for the T&D unit, including revenue, margin, cost and forecasting.
• Leads Pre-Construction, Estimating, and Project Directors responsible for project execution and reports performance to senior leadership.
• Develops and executes three-year business plan with HSQE, revenue and profit targets.
• Travel 51–75% domestically for negotiations, site visits and client meetings.
• Builds and maintains senior client relationships and leads contract negotiations and change orders.
